Ban: Escalation on Syria-Turkey border extremely dangerous

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon warned on Monday that escalating violence along the Syrian-Turkish border, as well as the effects of the Syrian crisis on neighboring Lebanon were extremely dangerous, AFP reported.

"The escalation of the conflict along the Syrian-Turkish border and the impact of the crisis on Lebanon are extremely dangerous," AFP reported Ban as saying at the opening of the World Forum for Democracy in the French city of Strasbourg.

Ban also encouraged donors to provide more funding to assist with the humanitarian crisis in Syria, according to the report.
