Bank of Israel approves new Bank Leumi CEO

The Bank of Israel on Monday announced that it had notified Bank Leumi of its approval of Rakefet Russak-Aminoach as its new CEO. She will take over from Galia Maor on May 1.
Russak-Aminoach will participate in a joint press conference at 9 a.m. on March 29, together with Maor and Leumi chairman David Brodet.
Russak-Aminoach currently serves as Bank Leumi deputy CEO and head of its corporate banking division. "She can do the job, she knows the bank, has banking experience, and we expect that she will know how to deal with all the threats that we know about, and those that we don’t yet know about," said Brodet after the appointment.
Following the announcement, Bank Leumi's share price fell 0.6 percent in morning trading on Monday to NIS 11.58.
