Barak: Adoption of the Levy report would be a mistake

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said on Wednesday that the government would be making a terrible mistake if they adopt the Levy report, warning that it would cause huge political damage to Israel, deepening its isolation in the world and weakening the settlement enterprise as a whole.
In an interview with Israel Radio, Barak added that some Likud ministers privately expressed agreement with his position, but power plays would cause them to support the adoption of the report.
Barak recommended that the government postpone the hearing until after the Likud election primaries in November.
