Barak eases restrictions in W. Bank for Muslim holiday

Defense Minister Ehud Barak instructed the IDF to ease restrictions in the West Bank to honor the Muslim holiday of Id al-Ahda which began Friday and is set to continue for four days, the IDF Spokesman's Office stated.
As part of the measures to "improve quality of life," checkpoints will be open later and the maximum number of lanes for security checks will be open in efforts to prevent traffic and long waiting times at security checkpoints.
Permission to visit relatives in Israel will also be given, with no age restrictions, as part of the measures.
