Barak: Israel cannot stand idle as Palestinians head to UN

Israel cannot take a passive stance in light of the current "political earthquake" across the Middle East and the "diplomatic tsunami" that will be propelled by Palestinian state recognition in the UN this September, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Wednesday on Channel 2 news.
Barak said that Israel must work towards advancing the peace process so that when September comes the government won't be seen as having stood idly by.
