'Barak issued special security blackout on Gaydamak case'

Defense Minister Ehud Barak has issued a special security blackout on certain elements of the case against Russian-Israeli business tycoon and former Jerusalem mayoral candidate Arkadi Gaydamak, Channel 2 reported on Thursday.
The move came at the end of last year following Gaydamak's indictment for money laundering.
The Supreme Court refused Gaydamak's appeal to reveal the security details of the case.
Barak's decision was unexplained in the television report, but former French interior minister Charles Pasqua claimed last year that Gaydamak was in the past an agent for a French intelligence agency
Gaydamak was charged last October in the Tel Aviv District Court with laundering over NIS 650 million.
