Barak meets with Jones. praises US efforts in ME

Defense Minister Ehud Barak  met with US National Security Adviser James Jones in Washington on Tuesday.
The two discussed the state of relations between Israel and the Palestinians, the situation on the border of Lebanon, Syria and the Iranian issue.  Barak stressed to Jones that Israel appreciates steps taken by the Obama administration in Iraq, Afghanistan, the strategic moves on missile defense, the sanctions against Iran and the efforts to promote negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. 
"The US administration's efforts to promote these issues are similar to Israel's interests, to which Israel tries to contribute as much as it can," Barak told Jones.
