Beit Shemesh man drowns in Ashdod after saving his 2 children

A 45-year-old man drowned in Ashdod trying to save his two children, Magen David Adom reported on Sunday evening.

After two of the man's five children called for help as the sea starting dragging them out, the man dove in to save them. He managed to push the children back towards shore, but was himself drowned in the process.

Marine police quickly recovered his body, but paramedics' attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful and they declared his death.
