Ben-Eliezer: Haredim, Arabs, disabled must join workforce

Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer on Tuesday said that Israel cannot allow itself to leave the haredi, Arab and disabled populations out of the workforce. Ben-Eliezer's comments came at a conference at the Ono Academic College in Kiryat Ono.
Ben-Eliezer stated that these populations need to make an effort to join the ranks of the working.
"A lot of the responsibility falls on these populations to overcome cultural, religious and educational roadblocks and to stride together with us to this goal," said Ben-Eliezer. "Without the perseverance and ambition of these groups to be part of the workforce, we cannot arrive at the common solution.
