Industry and Trade Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer on Saturday confirmed reports that Turkey would soon resume its role as a mediator in peace talks between Israel and Syria. Speaking at an Industry and Trade Ministry event in Beersheba on Saturday night, Ben-Eliezer said that relations with Ankara were improving, adding that "I hope a meeting between [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu and [Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip] Erdogan will be the next step."
