Ben Gurion Airport workers to strike Thursday in solidarity with Postal Company

Workers at Ben Gurion Airport have announced a strike to go into effect between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday.
70 flights are scheduled to land or take off at the airport during the hours of the planned strike.
The strike comes as an act of solidarity with Israel Postal Company workers as that strike widens to include other members of the public services sector.
Public services at district health offices around the country were disrupted on Tuesday for the same reasons of solidarity.
The labor dispute at the Israel Postal Company resulted in Histadrut calling for sanctions in various public institutions to protest threats of structural changes and dismissals of postal workers, and this time it was the turn of the district health offices, which are owned and run by the Health Ministry.
