Bennett: Decision on seceding land must be made by the public

Economy and Trade Minister Naftali Bennett praised on Sunday the cabinet's decision to approve the draft of the referendum bill.

"Today, the Israeli government chose the nation's unity," he said. "The land of Israel belongs to our great-grandfather and our great-grandson and no one can give up our rights in it."

"A decision this fateful must not be made in a political maneuver. Any decision on giving up Israel's lands must be made by the public," he added.
