Bennett: Gov't has historic opportunity to equalize burden

Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennett made his first address to the Knesset on Tuesday, saying that the new government has "a historic opportunity" to bring all parts of Israeli society to carry the service burden.

"I will not stand for only one part of the population having mothers stay up late at night worrying about their soldier sons," Bennett stated, adding that for haredim serving in the army was a mitzvah.
