Bennett: I am not a rubber stamp on Israel’s Gaza policy

It’s more to fight for Israel’s security then to approve government policy with regard to Hamas in Gaza that endangers people’s lives, Education Minister Naftali Bennett told Channel 2 in an interview Monday night.
Bennett is also a security cabinet member and has made a name for himself as a harsh critic of both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Avigdor Libemran when it comes to military matters.
“I am in the cabinet to defend the citizens of Israel. There isn’t unity and there doesn’t need to be unity,” said Bennett. He argued it was not necessarily important to have a unified opinion within the cabinet.
“I am not a rubber stamp,” said Bennett, who noted that during the 2014 Gaza he had fought against everyone with regard to the need to act against the terror tunnel. just like in the Operation
“I see myself as the emissary of the soldiers and residents to ensure the correct policy,” Bennett said.
