US Vice President Joseph Biden praised President Shimon Peres as a 'legendary friend of the United States of America,' at a US Congress ceremony honoring Peres on Thursday. Biden said that Peres 'almost single-handedly willed into existence a strong proud Israel defense establishment, but at the same time has worked indefatigably for peace.
