A law which would significantly reduce the cost of motorcycle insurance passed its first reading in the Knesset unanimously on Wednesday.
The law has several stages to go through before implementation and only reached the Knesset after a heated debate among ministers.
Motorcycle insurance rates are currently prohibitively high, and this has caused a large number of motorcyclists to join various parties in an effort to influence legislators.
