Bill seeks to create Medal of Honor for Israelis

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation approved a proposal to establish a Medal of Honor for citizens who contributed to national security or provided humanitarian aid to developing countries.
MKs Michael Oren (Kulanu), Hilik Bar (Zionist Union) and Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin (Zionist Union), who proposed the bill, suggested that MDA medics should win for their help to citizens during Operation Protective Edge, or that ISRAID should get the medal for aiding various countries that experienced national disasters.
