Blair to ‘Post’: Expose anti-Semitism to combat it

“We’ve got to be incredibly vigilant” in dealing with European anti-Semitism, former British prime minister and Quartet Middle East envoy Tony Blair told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday.
Speaking to the Post at Yad Vashem prior to the official state ceremony marking the start of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Blair said that when an incident occurs, “it should be given proper publicity.”
Asked how to handle the recent uptick in anti-Semitic attacks in Europe, Blair replied that “when it happens we’ve got to expose it and what happens, unfortunately too often,” when such incidents do not receive proper publicity.
“I know the British government takes it very seriously and we should be putting a lot of pressure on this because you should not tolerate what is intolerable,” Blair said.
