Bridge on Highway 4 collapses, one dead

A man that paramedics were working to save after the truck he was driving crashed into a pedestrian-bridge over Highway 4 between Bnei Brak and Ramat Gan on Monday has died, according to Magen David Adom.

The truck hit the bridge, according to MDA, and the bridge collapsed. MDA worked to extract the man from under the bridge, but the man in his 60s died from his injuries.

"After complex and prolonged rescue operations, paramedics declared the death of a man of about 60," said the MDA spokesperson.
