Burglar indicted for indecent assault of woman

The Tel Aviv District Attorney filed an indictment in the Tel Aviv District Court on Tuesday, charging a 22-year-old Holon resident with sodomizing and indecently assaulting a woman during a burglary last week.

According to the indictment, Guy Zafar broke into the complainant's first floor apartment in Bat Yam in the early hours of March 22.

Zafar pocketed some items from the apartment and placed others in the kitchen in order to steal them, then went into the bedroom where the complainant, A., was sleeping with her partner, the indictment said.

Allegedly, Zafar then assaulted A. by performing a sex act on her as she slept. When A. awoke in horror, Zafar motioned to her to keep quiet, the indictment alleges.
