Bus driver to compensate passenger for racist slurs

The Nazareth Magistrate's Court has ordered a bus driver to compensate a passenger of Ethiopian descent NIS 60,000 due to racist comments he made against her.
Transportation company Egged will also have to compensate the woman NIS 10,000.
According to Army Radio, Nissim Ben-Yakar, the bus driver, told the woman "I don't allow black Ethiopians on. In Ethiopia, they didn't have buses, and they didn't even have shoes."
He continued accusing the woman, who is a representative of an NGO for helping Ethiopian immigrants, saying "Who brought these Blacks to Israel? They're not Jews, and we should send all these kushim (people of African origin) back to Ethiopia. They're a dumb people and they don't belong here."
