Cabinet approves 4% budget cuts to government ministries

The cabinet on Sunday approved four percent budget cuts to all government ministries, with the exception of the Defense Ministry, the Education Ministry the Welfare and Social Services Ministry and the Transportation Ministry's developmental budget.
Finance Minister Yair Lapid said that the cuts were "a necessary step to bring back responsible policy and prevent the country from going bankrupt."
