The Jerusalem Post's ground-breaking Palestinian affairs reporter, Khaled Abu Toameh, will receive the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America's Emet (truth) Award at the organization's annual dinner on April 21 in New York City, CAMERA announced on Thursday. More than 600 attendees are expected at the gala, chaired by Nira and Kenneth Abramowitz, at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River.
We are pleased to be able to present CAMERA's highest honor, our Emet Award, to such an insightful, courageous reporter and commentator, said Andrea Levin, CAMERA¹s president and executive director.
In reporting Palestinian and Israeli affairs from the West Bank, Gaza Strip and eastern Jerusalem, Khaled time after time has shown a combination of fearlessness and incisive reporting that¹s made his work a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the region.
