Canada Conservatives may win majority

OTTAWA - Canada's ruling Conservatives may have won enough seats to form a majority government in Monday's federal election, according to provisional results broadcast by three major television networks.
CBC, CTV and Global indicated the Conservatives had won or were leading in 155 seats, enough to win an absolute majority of the 308 seats in the House of Commons. The results have not yet been confirmed.
The Conservatives won minorities in 2006 and 2008 and campaigned in the need for a majority this time round so they could focus on the economy.
