Car accident leave three dead, two injured after bus over-tuns in the Negev

MDA emergency medical services spokesman said that a car accident in the Negev Thursday morning killed three and injured two when a bus over-turned onto a private vehicle on highway 40 near the Rahat intersection.

Following Thursday morning fatal car accident in the Negev that saw three fatalities, data shows since the beginning of 2015, 143 people were killed in road accidents compared to 108 people who were killed in the same period last year-an increase of about 35%- according to figures published by the Green Light Foundation in Israel

A statement released by Green Light Foundation CEO Samuel Aboav: "The State of Israel is in a state of national emergency due to the increase in the number of fatalities for the third year in a row. The easiest thing is to blame the driver but the state also has a responsibility in the matter. Minister of Transportation must concentrate on all parties involved in road safety and help reduce fatalities on the roads.
