Two people have been declared dead and four people were injured in a lethal car accident on route 505 between the village of Marda, near Ariel, and Tapuah Junction in the West Bank Tuesday afternoon. Magen David Adom reported that one Israeli and one Palestinian, both men in their 40s, were declared dead on scene. One of the injured was evacuated via helicopter to Tel Hashomer Hospital, the rest were transferred to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva. Two children, from the Palestinian vehicle, were also lightly injured and evacuated by a Red Crescent team. Police have stated that the accident involved a head-on collision between an Israeli vehicle and a Palestinian vehicle. An investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the accident.
