Central Tel Aviv road blocked by social workers protest

Tel Aviv's central Azrieli intersection was blocked Thursday morning by social workers protesting working conditions.

Some 50 roads have been blocked nationwide, according to Ynet.

According to previous reports in Israeli media, the demonstrators demand the government intervene to combat violence against the workers.

Last week, the movement organized a five-day, 60-kilometer (37-mile) protest walk to Jerusalem.
