Channel 2: Ya'alon backtracks on Peace Now comments

Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Ya'alon reportedly backtracked Thursday on comments he made against Peace Now earlier in the week. Channel 2 reported that Ya'alon told Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu he did not mean that Peace Now was "a virus," but was rather referring to their "outlook." The report added that Ya'alon said the left-wing organization had made harsher comments about settlers, such as comparing them to cancer. Netanyahu on Wednesday summoned Ya'alon to an urgent meeting, following a report that the minister spoke at an event on Sunday organized by the prime minister's fiercest critic in the Likud, Moshe Feiglin.
