Coalition chairman punishes MKs

Coalition chairman David Bitan informed fellow Likud MKs Yoav Kisch, Yehudah Glick and Sharren Haskel that he is sanctioning them for “breaching coalition discipline on different occasions.”
The three MKs did not vote according to the coalition line for the muezzin bill and the cannabis bill last week. In a letter sent to the lawmakers, Bitan said that their membership the Knesset committees will be suspended and that their bills will not be advanced next session in the plenum and in committees.
In response, Kisch sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling Bitan’s behavior irresponsible.
