Comptroller rejects Netanyahu's request for outside funding of legal fees

The State Comptroller of Israel, Yosef Shapira, rejected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's request that legal fees in the cases against him be paid by outside sources, Army Radio reported Wednesday.
Netanyahu had asked that businessmen who are close acquaintances be allowed to contribute to his legal defense.
