Some 1,916 residents of the Gaza Strip were diagnosed with coronavirus on Tuesday, the highest number of new cases since the outbreak of the virus, the news site Ynet reported.
As a result, Hamas authorities implemented restrictions on movement, closed educational institutions and increased police enforcement to prevent crowds.
