Some 2,255 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Israel on Tuesday, according to a Wednesday morning update by the Health Ministry, with 5.4% of the tests conducted on Tuesday returning positive. Of those infected, 808 were in serious condition and and 240 were on ventilators. Some 15 deaths were reported overnight, bringing the death toll to 2,055.
