Some 2,331 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Israel on Sunday, with 3.7% of tests returning positive, according to a Monday morning update by the Health Ministry.
Of those infected, 708 were in serious condition and 223 were on ventilators. The death toll stood at 5,899.
