Some 1,429 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Israel on Saturday, with 6% of tests returning positive, according to a Sunday morning update by the Health Ministry.
Of those infected, 776 were in serious condition and 241 were on ventilators. The death toll rose overnight to 5,738.
