Some 5,135 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Israel on Sunday, with 6.6% of tests returning positive, the highest percentage of positive tests since October, according to a Monday morning update by the Health Ministry.
Of those infected, 731 were in serious condition with 201 patients on ventilators. This is the highest number of intubated patients since October. The death toll rose to 3,416 since the beginning of the outbreak.
