Coronavirus in Israel: 5,946 new cases, 421 serious cases

Some 5,946 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Israel on Wednesday, with 421 patients in serious condition, according to a Thursday morning update by the Health Ministry.

Some 4.62% of tests returned positive.

Of those infected, 65 were on ventilators. The death toll stood at 6,593.

Some 716,518 Israelis had received the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of Thursday morning.
