Couple charged on suspicion of locking up daughter 9 years

The State Attorney's Office on Tuesday filed charges at Petah Tikva District Court against a Palestinian couple from Kalkilya suspected of imprisoning the man's daughter over a period of nine years.
According to the indictment, the victim was imprisoned in their home from the age of 11 until 20 in a bathroom. She was forced to sleep on a blanket with no mattress and was let out of her locked room only to help with laundry, cleaning and cooking.
She was also beaten by her father, according to the indictment.
Palestinian Authority police handed over the girl's father, an Israeli-Arab citizen, to Israel Police custody last week.
