Court extends remand of warden suspected of killing daughter by 10 days

The Acre Magistrate's Court extended on Sunday the remand of Isamm Nijam, suspected of killing his daughter, by ten days. The Beit J'an resident and warden in the Israel Prison Service is of shooting his daughter in the head on Saturday. Nijam brought his daughter's body to a police station in Carmiel himself. According to witnesses, he gave a police officer his handgun and proclaimed: "I shot my daughter." Magen David Adom paramedics on the scene had nothing to do but pronounce the girl dead. The man was immediately arrested and interrogated. A preliminary investigation revealed that the murder may have been carried out as an honor killing.
