Court likely rejects state request to delay Olmert verdict

The Court on Sunday afternoon likely rejected the state's request to delay the verdict on the corruption charges against former prime minister Ehud Olmert.
The continuation of the hearing will take place tomorrow and the court may still grant the state's request then but that is less likely.
The state's goal of delaying the verdict on the charges would be to have police question Olmert, to put his former assistant Shula Zaken back on the stand, provide the court her new evidence and potentially put the former prime minister back on the stand to respond.
