The Health Ministry reported 1,709 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Israel on Saturday, with 588 patients in serious condition, according to a Sunday morning update.
Some 2.76% of tests returned positive. Of those infected, 205 are on ventilators and 254 are in critical condition. The death toll stands at 7,783.
