Danish Muslim Council condemns deadly Copenhagen attacks

A spokesman for the Danish Muslim Council condemned on Sunday the two attacks in Copenhagen that left two people dead.
He was speaking after police shot dead a 22-year-old Danish-born gunman after he killed two people at a Copenhagen synagogue and an event promoting free speech.
Two civilians - a synagogue guard and a filmmaker - were killed and five police were wounded in the two separate attacks in the Danish capital on Saturday.
"I don't think that there is anyone in Denmark that has any doubts that the average Danish Muslims don't support such things. There are always individuals, not only among Muslims, that have divergent views just like in other groups in the community. It's important to say clearly that regardless of who you are, we don't accept such things," said the spokesman for the Danish Muslim Council, Zubair Butt Hussain.
