Danon at UNSC: Hezbollah secretary general Nasrallah has remained silent

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon explained that Israel provided UNIFIL with exact information of the tunnels. UNIFIL passed the information to the Lebanese army, which sent it to Hezbollah, which then tried to cover the tunnels.

Danon remarked that Israel didn't expect that by transferring information about the Hezbollah attack tunnels to UNIFIL, the information would be sent to Hezbollah.

"In south Lebanon there are 10,000 soldiers with along with more than 11,000 UNIFIL peace keepers whose mission is to prevent Hezbollah action," Danon stressed.
