Death of Gazan paramedic: Army police to open criminal investigation

Army police will investigate the IDF soldiers who shot and killed paramedic Rezan Najar in Gaza last June, Ynet reported.

The twenty-year-old Gazan paramedic was killed by gunfire during one of the "March of Return" protests held in the Gaza Strip.

IDF said that "the findings of the investigation were transferred to the Advocate General's Office, which decided to open an investigation"

Testimonies given by Palestinians indicated that IDF soldiers fired deliberately at the paramedic.

The Arabic section of the IDF Spokesperson Unit released a photograph of Najar throwing a smoke grenade at IDF troops with the caption "she wasn't an angel," six days after she was shot.
