Defense Ministry increases number of West Bank construction inspectors

Defense Minister Ehud Barak recently approved a plan to increase the number of Civil Administration construction inspectors by fifty percent, Army Radio reported on Thursday morning. According to the report, dozens of new employees will soon be hired to work for the Civil Administration's inspection department, which keeps track of all new construction projects in the West Bank, focusing mainly on Jewish settlements. Officials in Barak's bureau reportedly said the increase in manpower was approved in order to improve the department's work and make it more efficient.
