Domrani associate arrested for rape

An associate of mobster Shalom Domrani was arrested this week on suspicion of extortion and rape, police stated Monday. The suspect, 30-year-old Ofer Sanker of Kiryat Gat, is accused of extorting money from a girl and her brother, after she took out a loan. The loan grew with interest, and after she was unable to pay it, Sanker allegedly coerced her to perform sexual acts on him.

Two other suspects have also been arrested for extortion and obstruction of justice in the case. All three were brought before a judge at the Rishon Letzion magistrate’s court on Monday, where their remands were extended by eight days. The case came to light after the victim came forward to police and complained of the alleged abuse.
