Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders has been summoned for questioning by prosecutors over anti-Moroccan remarks he made at campaign rallies in the Netherlands earlier this year, prosecutors said in a statement on Thursday.
Prosecutors received over 6,400 complaints when Wilders, whose anti-immigration, anti-Muslim Freedom Party is second-placed in polls, promised at a rally in The Hague to "deal with" supporters' demands for "fewer Moroccans" in the city.

Wilders, who has lived for many years under 24-hour police protection after receiving death threats relating to an anti-Islamic video he made, was acquitted in 2011 of earlier charges of hate crimes.
