E. J'lem man convicted of rape, murder of his 6-year-old cousin

An east Jerusalem man in his 20s was convicted Thursday of the murder, rape and sodomy of his six-year-old cousin.
The conviction was made after DNA tests proved his guilt.
According to the charge sheet read out in the Jerusalem District Court, the girl went out to a kiosk near her east Jerusalem home in January 2008. Several hours later, her body was found in a pit near a residential building, half-naked with multiple bruises.
A postmortem examination found that the girl had been raped, sodomized and strangled.
