Education Ministry: 2.4% drop in those eligible for matriculation exams

Last year saw a 2.4-percent drop in those eligible to take matriculation exams and a 2% fall in pass grades, according to data released Thursday by the Education Ministry. The data showed that the situation was particularly dire among Israeli Arabs, with a pass rate of 31.94%, compared with a 59.74% rate among Jews.
