Egypt summons Israeli diplomat over border shooting
By JERUSALEM POST STAFF
Egypt on Sunday summoned a senior Israeli diplomat to protest the shooting last week of an Egyptian policeman along the countries' border, to demand an apology.
An Israeli patrol opened fire and wounded the policeman near Eilat on August 17, saying that he challenged them by cocking his weapon.
The IDF said an Israeli-Egyptian team would investigate the shooting.
