Elad Alperon suspected of blackmailing debtors, including minors

Dozens of youths, including minors and sons of police officers, have testified in recent weeks that they were blackmailed by Elad Alperon, from whom they had borrowed money, Israel Radio reported on Wednesday. The teenagers allegedly took high-interest loans from the son of the late mafia chief Ya'acov Alperon in order to cover their gambling debts. Alperon and three other suspects have been arrested on suspicion of blackmailing and threatening the debtors.
